From Interns to Full-time Employees
Grow with Brooks
My time as an intern exposed me to the fast-paced world of running industry research, where our work, along with the work of many other teams, had a direct and immediate impact on product development. In this environment, I was able to strengthen my collaboration skills, not only with other research teammates, but also across groups that shared the same goals while bringing different expertise. Learning to communicate data clearly and strategically to teammates with various backgrounds became an essential part of my growth, and a skill I use frequently in my current role.

Demonstrating authenticity and a willingness to learn on both your resume and during interviews is crucial. At Brooks, our interns typically have specific projects to manage, so it's essential to highlight your strengths in leading past projects, whether in school or at work. Additionally, emphasize your teamwork and collaboration skills as these are essential to your success at Brooks.
Kun Sok
Demand Planner
My internship gave me foundational knowledge of Brooks products, the product creation cycle, technical development details, and how to keep fit, feel, and ride (biomechanics and perception) in mind during the product creation process. I strengthened my skills in analyzing and synthesizing data, allowing me to produce actionable insights and make data-driven decisions for both the consumer and the business. It also helped me build relationships with individuals I work with now, making collaboration and learning easier.
Mikaela York
Product Line Manager I
My internship helped me understand the expectations of a full-time position, which allowed me to make a larger impact when I transitioned into one. It also allowed me to establish relationships throughout the company. These relationships have continued into my full-time role and improved the connection and engagement that I have with my work and the company as a whole.
John Trilling
Transportation Analyst, Outbound
My internship at Brooks gave me a strong foundation in footwear by helping me learn the product line, test both inline and innovation projects, and build knowledge of footwear technologies, foams, and emerging manufacturing techniques. That hands-on experience prepared me to contribute confidently in a full-time role while continuing to learn and grow within Brooks.
Megan Wimmer
Run Research Scientist 1
I had no idea what to expect coming into the internship. But over the summer in the Seattle HQ, I had the absolute pleasure of working with so many incredible people who are genuinely passionate about the work we do. Through this process, I built a great admiration for Brooks’ mission and values, which led me to my current full-time role as a Tech Rep. This internship inspired me to be bold, ask questions, and let my passion shine!
