  1. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

You have the right to (1) request to know more about and access your personal information, including in a portable format, (2) request deletion of your personal information, and (3) request correction of inaccurate personal information. To request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, please email privacy@brooksrunning.comprivacy@brooksrunning.com. We may verify your request by asking you to provide certain information.
Any request to exercise your privacy rights will be assessed by Brooks on a case-by-case basis. There may be circumstances in which we are not legally required to comply with all or part of your request, such as a relevant legal exemption under applicable law.

In California, you can designate an authorized agent to submit a privacy rights request on your behalf. We may ask authorized agents to submit proof of their authority to make a request, such as a valid power of attorney or proof that they have signed permission from the consumer who is the subject of the request. In some cases, we may contact the individual who is the subject of the request to verify their own identity or confirm the authorized agent has permission to submit the request. If you are an authorized agent seeking to make a request, please contact us at privacy@brooksrunning.com.

We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising your privacy rights. If you choose not to disclose certain personal information, however, we may not be able to proceed with the recruitment process.

  1. AUTOMATED DECISION MAKING TECHNOLOGY[MP2]

Brooks uses automated decision-making technology ("ADMT") to assist with certain aspects of our recruitment process.
We use technology-assisted tools to help evaluate job applications. These tools may be used to:
  • Parse and organize resume content, such as work history, skills, and education, to match candidates to open positions;
  • Rank or score candidates based on qualifications relevant to the role; and
  • Screen applications to identify candidates who meet minimum job requirements.
How the tools work. These tools process categories of personal information that you provide as part of your application, including identifiers, professional and employment-related information, and education information. The tools generate outputs such as match scores, qualification rankings, or screening recommendations that are used as one input in the evaluation of your candidacy.
Human in the loop. Brooks does not rely solely on ADMT to make hiring or other employment-related decisions. A qualified Brooks recruiter or hiring manager who understands how to interpret the tool’s output reviews the output of any ADMT tool as part of a broader evaluation of your candidacy. No candidate is rejected, advanced, or hired based solely on an automated output.
Right to appeal. If a decision about your candidacy is informed by the output of ADMT, you have the right to appeal that decision to a human reviewer. The human reviewer will independently evaluate your candidacy, consider any information you provide in support of your appeal, and has authority to change the outcome. To submit an appeal, please contact us at [privacy@brooksrunning.com].
Right to request information. You have the right to request information about our use of ADMT with respect to your candidacy, including a plain-language explanation of how the technology processes personal information and generates its output, the categories of personal information used, and how the output factors into the decision-making process. To submit an access request, please contact us at privacy@brooksrunning.com.
No Retaliation. Brooks will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising any of your rights described in this section, including your right to appeal or to request information about our use of ADMT.
